Participants of the National Interior Design Competition 2020: designer Dovilė Švilpienė.
The fourth edition of the National Interior Competition 2020 invites you to vote for your favourite interior vision this year.
Interior designer Dovilė Švilpienė presents the interior design of a 61 sqm apartment in the Centro Rezidencija apartment complex.

According to Dovilė, design is created by the details, and the idea for this interior was dictated by the mid-century modern style – geometric shapes (ovals, circles, cubes, triangles, etc.) and colours (mustard yellow, powdery pink, fresh mint), which helped to create a positive energy in the space.
This is an interior for a family of three – a couple living together and their teenager. The inhabitants imagined by the designer are modern, energetic, open to innovation, who like to participate actively in the cultural life of the city, and who appreciate individual style.

In interior design, the balance between comfort and functionality and aesthetics is key. In small spaces, the layout is particularly important, furniture and plumbing spaces are carefully considered, and storage is a major consideration.
