Do we feel good in our own homes? How important are aesthetics and tasteful interiors to us? How is Lithuanian taste changing and what mistakes do we make when designing our homes? We talked about this in 15min studio with Arvydas Avulis, a member of the board of Hanner, which has been organising the National Interior Competition for the fourth year, and Dovilė Švilpienė, one of the winners of the first stage.

This year, 16 interior designers from all over Lithuania tried their hand at the National Interior Competition, creating visualisations for the homes in Hanner’s housing estates – Centro Rezidencija and Renesanso. The 6 winners were selected by the readers of the 15min portal, whose votes determined who would be able to realise their projects. The designer Dovilė Švilpienė received the most sympathy from the judges of the “National Interior Competition”. The 61-square-metre dwelling in the Centro Residence, designed by the debutant of the competition, received 1 617 votes. (11%) of the 15-minute portal visitors.
